Completed 10 week oupatient clinical rotation at the Lewis Center Close to Home clinic. Managed 100% of a full time physical therapist’s caseload by the end of the clinical rotation. Evaluated and treated patients aged 4 weeks to 15 years of age with a variety of developmental diagnoses. Gained experience in administering developmental screening tests such as the Bayley Scales of Infant Motor Development and the Peabody Developmental Motor Scales. Also worked in the hospital’s seating clinic 1 day per week, evaluating patients in need of wheelchairs and other DME, working closely with physical medicine physicians, and writing letters of medical necessity and other necessary documentation. Completed 1 day per week of aquatic therapy for children with a variety of developmental diagnoses.

Toledo, Ohio Area

Completed 8 week acute care neuro clinical in both neuro ICU and neuro step down unit at a certified comprehensive stroke center. Managed 95% of a full time Physical Therapist’s caseload by the end of clinical. Worked closely with a variety of health care disciplines, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists. Evaluated and treated patients with a variety of neurological conditions, including acute cerebral vascular accidents, brain tumors, Guillain Barre Syndrome, and traumatic brain injuries.

Completed 8 week outpatient clinical rotation. Managed 90% of a full time Physical Therapist's caseload by the end of clinical. Treated patients of all ages, including pediatrics, adults, and elderly individuals. Led a pediatric gross motor skills camp two days per week, which involved design, set-up, implementation and tear down of the activities each week. Also completed a clinical in-service presentation on core strengthening and stabilization among different populations.

Completed 7 week inpatient clinical rotation. Managed 75% of a full time Physical Therapist's caseload by the end of clinical. Treated a variety of patients, including a dependent patient with bilateral below knee amputations, patients post-CVA, generalized weakness, and several post operative patients who had total knee and total hip replacements. Also completed a clinical in-service presentation on Congestive Heart Failure and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
