Duties also included the following:Managed and directed human resource initiatives; provided professional advice to City officials, department heads and supervisors; made presentations to councils, boards, civic groups and the general public; managed the recruitment and on boarding process for city departments; prepared and reported claims for Workers Compensation; drafted organizational policies and implemented processes and procedures for compliance with state and federal regulations; represented the organization in personnel hearings and investigations; planned and implemented the employee benefit program; provided administrative assistance to the Civil Service Commission, preparing agendas, administering tests, and maintaining records; supervised employees in HR, Vital Statistics, Health Department and Switchboard at various intervals.
