I am a molecular biologist with a passion for thinking outside the box to advance human health. As a Research Scientist at Alden Scientific, I am leveraging to power of machine learning and plasma proteomics to build a personalized healthcare platform. I honed my project management and assay development skills at Biobot Analytics while leading the development of metagenomics sequencing methods in wastewater. As a postdoc at the Joslin Diabetes Center, I developed and validated gene editing strategies for the protection of pancreatic beta cells against autoimmune and alloimmune attack in Type I Diabetes in Dr. Peng Yi’s lab. I earned my Ph.D. in biology with a concentration in molecular biology and genetics at Tufts University, where my work in the Fuchs lab focused on investigating the genetic mechanisms underlying protein repeat variation and the effects of this variation on protein function and prion formation in baker’s yeast. I previously earned my B.S. in Chemistry from Lehigh University in 2016.
