Cost center currently providing 5 service lines: (1) segmentation, (2) design, (3) printing, (4) cleaning and preparation for use, (5) delivery and shipping. Workflows that incorporate those service lines have been developed to offer customized clinical and research support in the form of: (A) anatomical models for diagnostics and research, (B) virtual planning of orthognathic procedures with splint and guide production, (C) orthopedic guide prototypes, (D) cardiovascular models for graft and implant planning, (E) models for appliance fabrication (prosthodontic, orthodontic).

Department of Prosthodontics

Conducting analytical scale investigations of drilling fluid performance against conditions and material injections along the length of the well and string. Particular focus on pressure and thermal conditions relation to constituent (e.g. methane) phase and presentation in the fluid. Reflection of experimental conditions to field-scale tests that form the validation of findings is a key aspect of the work. Safety, Risk, and Reliability investigations of cardiovascular devices through the Cajun Artificial Heart Laboratory now at LSU will continue. Current work is focused on TAVR anchoring and fatigue analysis from prototypes delivered through additive manufacturing processes.

Develop web-based information management system and document repository; chosen platform was Microsoft SharePoint. Author Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documents on common tasks and business practices executed by departmental personnel. Both efforts coalesce to reinforce conformity of business practices and transfer of operational knowledge to personnel tasked with performing those practices.

Management of the Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) graduate program. Responsibilities include: recruitment of talent, admissions processing, coordination of departmental financial support, and allocation of supported students to program needs.

Fully funded Research Assistant for the Biomedical Engineering Department's Artificial Heart Laboratory. Research projects have included the following: automated mock circulatory loop development, numerical simulations of cardiovascular systems, embedded control system design (PXI and microcontoller), real-time target programming (LabVIEW and Simulink), anatomical modeling, GPU acceleration, and rapid prototyping (additive and subtractive). Teaching assistant responsibilities for the following courses have been performed: Bioinstrumentation, Digital Signal Processing, and Introductory Electronics.

Employed in the Analytical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences department as a member of the Analytical Technology group. Primary responsibility was to develop and deploy high throughput analytical assays; both physical property and bioanalytical. Additional duties were to maintain company wide solubility assay, accurate mass assay, purity assay and provide support to medicinal chemistry analytical technology. Assignments to therapeutic projects as a Pharmaceutical Sciences Department representative were a concurrent responsibility. Involved in two patent pending projects (one as the primary inventor), and multiple public presentations.

Internship included rotating through all major departments of the Stanford Medical Center in order to provide training on the broad spectrum of devices and technology utilized by the facility. The training was centered around performing service and repair on various biomedical devices. Documentation on specific device certifications can be provided upon request.

Duties performed included certifying isolation environments for reuse, ensuring product quality, managing daily operations for habitats that contained more than 750 animals. Special consideration was given to security of projects, condition of habitats and protocol of laboratory animal rights.
