I joined Strang Chef Collective after as a part-time bartender, and I have steadily progressed in responsibility and role across several locations. After 2 months with the company, I was promoted to bar manager at Strang Hall, and 4 months after that I was asked to lead the launch of our second location. After helping launch that location, I was promoted to Assistant General Manager of Strang Hall in early October 2023. In my current role:- I am second in charge of a restaurant with over 120 employees, 5 different kitchen concepts plus a bar and cafe, and earns over $15 million in revenue a year.- I lead, organize, and execute high-stakes events at our event space next door. This includes working with the client and venue manager to plan for timing, food and beverage offerings, staffing, etc.- I am additionally in charge of scheduling, payroll management, front of house employee training, creating and scheduling seasonal events, and much more. When launching our Lightwell location I:- Assisted in launching the organization's first new location- Led launch projects including: controlling budgets for pre-launch expenses, created and costed the bar menu, sought out and selected vendors for our food and alcohol, interviewing and hiring the front of house staff, and more- Lead every day operations with a team of 18 direct reports- Develop and lead new marketing initiatives across various print and digital media formsAs Bar Manager I:- Led a team of 12 bartenders in a high-volume bar, which produced $10,000 to $30,000 in revenue daily- Costed and created the summer and fall bar menus for 2022

During this time I was considering a career transition to nursing, and was taking online nursing courses full-time. In this role I had the opportunity to network and get valuable, hands-on experience in the field to determine if it would be the right fit for my future. I joined a team that was responsible for providing direct care and support of everyday activities for patients who had suffered traumatic brain injuries.
