Over the past two decades, Taylor has been involved in over $2 billion worth of residential real estate acquisitions and sales. He has built successful sales teams and expanded communication methods and customer-centric technologies for vertically integrated real estate companies.Taylor began his career in 2005 as a financial analyst for the Reno-based attached homebuilder Pacific West Companies. By 2007, still in his mid-twenties, Taylor was named Pacific West’s vice president of sales. In this role, he oversaw the marketing and sale of over $500 million in attached home inventory at projects throughout Sacramento and Northern Nevada. He also managed Pacific West’s 1,800-unit 80% affordable apartment portfolio.In 2010, Taylor joined Yellow Door Realty as the director and managing broker. Over two years, Yellow Door, McKinley Partners' in-house brokerage, recorded over $75 million in distressed real estate acquisitions and sales throughout the Bay Area.Then, in 2012, Taylor launched Blackline Realty to focus solely on acquiring undervalued properties listed on the MLS on behalf of private equity funds and institutional investors. Using a proprietary Salesforce platform developed by Taylor, Blackline acquired more MLS-listed properties than any other brokerage in both Solano and Contra Costa Counties between 2012 and 2014.With the home building industry's reemergence towards the end of 2013, Taylor shifted his focus back towards new homes. In July 2014, Taylor joined the Walnut Creek and Reno-based homebuilder Ryder Homes as the builder’s sales and marketing director. He is also the managing broker for Ryder’s in-house brokerage, Ryder Homes Realty, Inc., and is responsible for the sales and marketing efforts in both Northern California and Northern Nevada.
