The Associate Director ensures that client needs are met by maintaining an effective level of direct contact with clients and by monitoring and guiding account managers’ activities. The Associate Director bears responsibility for the account’s growth and profitability, and for mentorship of the account managers.An AD serves as the connective tissue between the client and the internal teams assigned to the projects the account manager owns. The AD manages the external relationships, which involves driving conversations for requirements gathering, crafting scopes and achieving alignment through cross-functional partnerships. Internally, the AD is the project manager. Creating, managing & owning project timelines, budgets, resource workloads, processes & meetings/stand-ups to successfully lead projects through to completion. Additional responsibilities include reporting internal project health, KPIs and metrics to the business, owning change management processes, and occasionally supporting with the management of 3rd party resources based on the needs of a given project.
