About Taylor Crews
Watching a person who is blind or partially sighted reach the top of the climbing wall and seeing the smile on their face as they realize they’ve accomplished something they may have never thought possible is one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Being a part of providing accessible recreation to diverse populations is where my passion is. My passion and affinity for leadership have afforded me a lot of diverse personal and professional life experiences. Providing one on one support to customers has always been a high priority of mine. I know that by taking these small moments to provide personalized support to individuals we make much more of an impact on their lives than it would seem. My ability to change and adapt on the fly has benefitted not only the customers I serve, but also those around me. I am deeply passionate about the non-profit industry and its ability to affect meaningful change in the lives of others, particularly through the lens of recreation.As I continue into the next steps of my career, I consider every professional and personal experience and how it fits into the mosaic of my life. It is the cumulation of these experiences that makes me who I am today. I know this will be an asset to the diverse communities I will serve. I am a student of Recreation and Leisure Services currently open to volunteer opportunities, internship placements, and full-time job opportunities in the recreation industry. My background in hospitality, recreation, retail, and customer service has set me up for personal and professional success. This, alongside my strong work ethic, passion for accessibility and recreation, and desire to learn make me the ideal candidate for any job in the recreation industry.
