I designed an informational binder about rearing poultry that included husbandry concerns, human health considerations and how to prevent common ailments. I tested poultry for diseases important to public health, such as Avian Influenza. I also educated backyard poultry owners personally about preventative medicine and husbandry techniques.

I was the first contact the clients had with our clinic and greeted each client and pet personally. I obtained a thorough history through discussion with the clients. It was then my job to convey the information to the doctor. During appointments I assisted with medical procedures. I performed laboratory testing to determine the causes of illness. Another duty involved billing and filing paperwork. To culminate the appointments, I educated clients about their pets’ needs and answered their questions.

I communicated with constituents about their concerns and legislative priorities and relayed that information to legislators. This involved in-person meetings, phone conversations, written letters and emails. Further, I organized events for constituent groups on behalf of legislators and the caucus.I also advised the caucus on legislation that came before both the Environmental Affairs and Public Health committees.

I was the instructor for two biology labs a week. I lectured the students on the concepts to be covered by the lab and then demonstrated how to properly perform the laboratory techniques. Throughout the lab I monitored the students, solved problems, and answered questions that arose.
