CurrentWorking in a small HR team and closely with the executive management team, I am exposed to many aspects of Human Resources such as:• Performance Management including improvement plans and appraisals• Investigations into misconduct and providing recommendations • Performance warnings -writing and issuing to employees. • Terminations and resignations• Exit interviews• Reviewing and creating policies and procedures• Developing employee retention strategies • Creating and facilitating HR training• Mental health and employee wellbeing initiatives including wellbeing checks• Toolbox Talks • Interpreting Fair Work legislation and McIlwain’s enterprise bargaining agreement. • Approving employment contracts • Internal audits, analyzing and synthesizing data Additional administrative responsibility such as employee correspondence, creating letters, handling HR enquires via phone and shared inbox and various reporting on employee statistics.With the introduction of the new code of practice for managing psychosocial hazards I was also tasked with developing McIlwain’s action plan for implementing this code as well as providing advice to managers and supervisors in psychosocial hazards management.Additionally, with the introduction of Positive Duty for employers, I was tasked with developing and implementing a Prevention Plan to prevent sexual harassment.
