I am a Maryland state certified educator in Social Studies for grades 6th through 12th. In my classroom I focus on creating lesson plans that get students motivated and involved in their learning. Education at its core needs to student based, focusing on their different skill levels and multiple intelligences. My classroom meets these needs by creating formative assessments, student learning objectives and student driven lessons that are designed for students to take ownership and responsibility in their learning. As a digital native I am very familiar with educational technology and use a variety of different technologies including Google Apps for Education, Plicker, Nearpod, and Microsoft Office Suite in my classroom. Using these tools in my classroom students realize that their educational experience can be both enjoyable and informative. While teaching students many helpful skills such as respect, responsibility and perseverance. I have an M.Ed. in Instructional Technology I incorporate technology into my classroom and use technology to allow my students to learn to their best potential.
