I've always had a thing for words. In Kindergarten I was awarded "Outstanding Author."In 2nd grade someone wrote “Die Taylor” on my desk. I wondered if it should have a comma.I carry an expired Boston Bruins Dunkin Donuts card around with me to remind me that I didn’t think of the tagline “Boston Brewin.” I know, in my heart, that I will never get over it.I was class clown in high school and I like to pretend that is still relevant.I yield scathing Yelp! reviews like a weapon, and have been told that I am “scary to argue with because I am so good at it.” His words, but I won’t argue with it.I can present to a room full of people, but I can’t call for a pizza.I once successfully started a reverse wave at Fenway Park and I find that to be one of my greatest accomplishments.I’m a good friend, a good teammate, and I care. I care so much, about everything. Except for the vegetable, squash. I don’t care for squash at all.All of these things define me. But above all, I am a writer. I love words. I love what they can do, and what I can do with them. Plain and simple, I love writing, and I plan to do it until I die, Taylor.
