I developed a Food Ingredient Life Cycle Assessment tool to quantify the GHG emissions, water consumption, land use, and avoided fertilizer and pesticide application associate with Amy’s annual purchases of organic ingredients

-Provided Spanish-to-English translation to assist several business, history, earth science, and math instructors with their courses. Additionally, I was asked to lead some of the presentations and content development for the lessons because of my knowledge and expertise on these topics-Served as the primary translator for 25 exchange students and instructors visiting from 5 different EU countries, resulting in a better understanding of presentations and site visits as well as a deeper cultural exchange-Presented new topics relevant to global business operations, including market lifecycles and international negotiation, allowing the students to learn about international business from an American perspective-Engaged with seven classes of students from diverse backgrounds and abilities for 50-minute sessions, effectively communicating and adapting to different learning stylesMy first year I was placed in a southern Spanish village. I worked with ages 3 to 25 but spent the majority of my time with an International Commerce professional course. My responsibilities included translating class material and the presentation of new learning material in areas such as market lifecycles, international negotiation, and methods of payment.My second year I worked at a highschool in Santa Fe, Granada. I assisted in teaching core classes (science, history, math etc.) in English. This was a more challenging environment and required that I adjust my teaching style to better suit the students. I often had students of different levels in the same class which required me to frequently switch between groups and explain concepts at varying complexities. I was also the primary translator when an international group from Croatia, Romania, Greece, and Portugal visited our school to learn about the local environment. It not only allowed me to practice my Spanish to English translation skills but it was a fantastic opportunity to develop rapport with people from different countries.

My greatest achievement at Grant BLVD was my coordination and execution of the for B-corp certification application which GrantBLVD was later approved for. I also did administrative work by researching new business tools, corresponding with stakeholders, and conducting ongoing business analysis.

-Analyzed client fashion profiles and customer feedback surveys to optimize inventory assortment resulting in increased sales-Delivered consistent customer support via written communications, developing personal connection and rapport to improve customer loyaltyAs a stylist for Stitch Fix I synthesized client feedback and analyzed profile data in order to determine and deliver the optimal assortment of inventory. Along with each shipment, I provided customer support via consistent, relationship building communications. As I received more data and feedback as well as developed a relationship with the customer, I was able to further personalize the mix of products that clients receive.

- Deloitte Team Case Study: For a business communication course, worked in a team of three to develop innovative initiatives to help Woodchuck meet its goal of planting 1 million trees by 2021. Initiatives involved seed distribution and partnering with Aussie Hair and the Arbor Day Foundation to replant the Australian bush. I was in charge of designing the 26-slide PowerPoint presentation which we delivered remotely- Design for the Environment Project: Evaluated strategic initiatives to design a solution to address the increased rainfall and flooding predicted due to climate change. As a team, we elected to design rain gardens to be constructed along a busy highway in a low, flood-susceptible area, predicted to reduce flooding by 40% and increase driver safety-Sustainable Product Business Plan Development: Served as Ad-hoc team leader for a team of 4 students for a Sustainable Project Management Class. Organized team meetings, delegated tasks, and led work to unify report sections to create a cohesive final business plan. Received high accolades from the team for project leadership-Small Business Start-Up: As part of an Entrepreneurship class, collaborated with a team of 4 students to create a business plan and budget for a Christmas ornament pop-up shop. Our business was selected to showcase and sell our ornaments at the campus art museum-Corporate Sustainability Analysis: For Environmental Management Systems and Strategies course, wrote a paper evaluating the quality of Unilever’s sustainability reporting and predicted the company’s ability to reach its targets-Life Cycle Assessment Research Paper (in Spanish): As part of a Spanish Composition and Communication class, analyzed the life cycles of paper and plastic single-use bags, finding relatively equivalent environmental footprints-Feasibility of Photovoltaic Solar Power in the United States: Provided education about the opportunities for photovoltaic solar solutions to address climate change

-Awarded the YMCA Youth Thrive award for outstanding leadership, which considered taking initiative, adapting to changing situations, and positively impacting the lives of others-Managed cabin groups and activity schedules of 10-25 children at a time, fostering teamwork and cooperation-Handled confidential information disclosed by child campers (adhering to all required confidentiality regulations)I worked in a variety of roles, leading cabin groups, guiding teen and training canoe trips, and supervising outdoor activities. I also received trainings in safety, leadership, and group dynamics. After I worked on a project to rehabilitate the nature center, I received the YMCA Youth Thrive award.
