This is a work study job. Thrive After School is a program for kids K-4 to go and have fun have after school, but also continue to be educated. My job as a mentor is supervise the children and also assist them in homework and help them learn to read.

I was responsible for putting the beer and soda, that my company delivers, up on the shelves of big chain stores and some smaller stores. I have to make sure that the product is properly rotated every day and make sure that the dates on the product are still good.

Some of my responsibilities for this internship included: Getting more traffic to their Facebook site, Event planning and coordination, Getting sponsorship for events, and actually being at the events to make sure they go smoothly. A lot of this internship has involved social media. Our Spring Throw Down was a huge success and I was able to help get us some great sponsors. We had a short amount of time to plan this event, but we had a great turnout and we had sponsors like Burton, Vermont Lake Monsters, Enlightened Design Syndicate, and Kevin Smiths Sports Connection. I have also done a little work with the Vermont Pond Hockey Classic. I've basically been focused on researching what other tournaments have featured at their events and what works well for them(Research & Development), along with taking some pictures/video at the Lake Champlain Pond Hockey Classic.
