I was originally hired by Aurora to be the inhouse Atlassian SME, managing our Jira, Confluence and related applications. That role has since expanded to a lead position within a small team of Application Support engineers that manages a portfolio of different applications, including the Atlassian Stack, Google Workspace, Slack, Okta, Smartsheets, etc. There is also some administration of the infrastructure (AWS) that the tools we manage live on involved.I work with stakeholders within our organization to design and build solutions to solve their needs using the tools that our team manages. Depending on the scope I either handle the implementation myself or I coordinate the efforts of other techs who are better suited for a particular task.

In October of 2018 Contegix purchased Equip. My work responsibilities remain the same.=====Equip is a full-service Atlassian consulting and support firm. We assist customers with both the Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence, etc) as well as the system(s) they reside on.Our work is typically divided between two broad categories, Engineering and Support, though many of our customer engagements involve a little of both.Engineering is usually more of the one-off project kind of thing. For example, recently I helped a customer who had two teams, one that was using a Server instance of JIRA and one that was using a Cloud instance, and they wanted to combine the two. To further complicate matters, their Server instance was running on a mostly working but technically unsupported database system. Working with the customer to figure out the best way to solve these issues while also minimizing downtime is a big part of these kinds of engagements.Support work is a more long term, embedded kind of thing. Typically an onsite 9-5 handling all of the usual daily administration of the Atlassian tools. Things such as creating new Projects or Spaces for customers, editing workflows, training and advising on best practices and really anything else that might come up.

Shortly after graduating with my Game Design degree I began working for TherapySites.com. Originally I was on the support team providing customer support and custom design work for the in-house CMS. Beginning in early 2015 I was put in charge of the development of all of the templates. This involved design and coding, as well as some light database administration and SysAdmin work.
