Taylor is a self-taught Fine Artist and Illustrator specializing in expressionist watercolor, acrylic and encaustic painting. She graduated from Purdue University with a BFA in Graphic Design, but in 2020 took the plunge and decided to follow her life-long passion of being a full-time artist. Taylor's art is Expressionist, meaning she uses exaggerated color and brush strokes in her watercolor and acrylic paintings. She's inspired by high contrast, bold color and animals. Her range is vast and so is her style, with her predominant collections being acrylic moody florals, watercolor animals and The Oasis (acrylic).In 2021 Taylor's watercolors became recognized by Indiana Artisan, meaning they are regarded as among the best in Hoosier craftsmanship; her work is at both the Carmel & French Lick locations.
