As a PR Intern at CBS, I assisted the VP of PR with a variety of tasks that introduced me to PR on a professional level. I wrote multiple Press Releases and Promo Spots for the TV station and local newspapers, many of which were published. In the events realm, another intern and I brainstormed ideas for the launch party for the annual Lights for the Cure campaign to raise breast cancer awareness. While it is typical for the Philadelphia skyline to light up pink for the month of October, I suggested that we reach out to the PPL building in Allentown - who agreed to participate. That was CBS's PR "hook" for the event that year.Furthermore, I represented the CBS-3/CW station at various local and company events in the greater Philadelphia area such as the West Oak Lane Jazz Festival and the Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards.
