In this position, I juggled a variety of tasks. I entered daily playlists into a digital calendar for an on-air personality to read in days to follow. I also burnt CDs, created playlists based in the classical music era and use the Adobe Audition program to edit audio levels.Also in my previous position, I got to speak on air about the pieces of music being played and read different ads during the live broadcast. I spoke to the composer, performers, and the time period of each piece. It was a unique and exciting experience getting to curate a playlist, insert it into our digital calendar and get to play the music on air the following days.

I meet bi-weekly with this group to brainstorm and shoot different content for our social media accounts within our College of Communication and Information Sciences. We focus mainly on the platforms Instagram and TikTok. Outside of the meetings I attend multiple campus events and post content covering each event. Content coverage includes Instagram stories, reels, main feed posts, and writing short captions. I have learned a lot about social media marketing and catering content to today's college students in this role.

I meet with a college student on the Autism spectrum twice a week to guide and assist them in areas of life skills, social skills, and academics. My mentee will bring assignments that need editing or that he/she needs helps to break down. During our hour-long meetings, we will address ways to manage stress, how to make new friends, different clubs to get involved in, etc. This experience has been the biggest challenge and is one I have seen myself grow the most in. After my time spent with my first mentee, he-she was able to move to the step-down program with hopes of not needing a mentor in the future. Our time together has proved to have been extremely beneficial to my mentee. I personally feel I have gained great leadership skills as well as better patience and compassion for others.

I meet with other members of this group on a bi-weekly basis to discuss different areas of focus within our College of Communication and Information Sciences. The main task our council faces is hearing funding requests for supplies, festival fees, production costs, etc. from various student organizations and students in our college. Along with this, we organize fundraising tables and events to raise money that we use to grant funding requests.

I work with International marketing, retail marketing, and social media marketing teams as a part-time intern for a world-renown fashion brand. In this role, I am able to attend many meetings and contribute ideas for fall/winter marketing campaigns. In International marketing, I put together powerpoints to show which styles were being used by each country that the brand sold to. I also made PowerPoints to show which department stores were buying each style in order to help predict styles for upcoming seasons. In retail marketing, I brainstormed ideas for in-store graphics, window posters, and various ways the stores could creatively convey their theme for the particular season. Many of my ideas were used on signage outside and inside the stores. I also called over 100 storefronts to ask about their in-store marketing pieces to make sure our brand was consistent across the country. In social media marketing, I spent my time finding and reaching out to micro and macro-influencers to use for different campaigns. More than 20 of the influencers I found were used throughout the following season. I also collected the number of followers each account had on each platform in an excel sheet to compare from season to season.

I worked in production completing multiple tasks a week. I would work on three different cameras simultaneously in the studio for News, Weather, and our Sports blocks. I would also work the teleprompter that showed the works our anchors would read live. Lastly, I ran graphics and bio-lines during the live broadcast. In the newsroom, I edited together b-roll footage from our archive database or shot live that day. I would then insert them into the rundown to be played during that evening's live news broadcast. I also wrote news scripts for different reporters to read and to be posted to our website.
