Growing in a small company from a part time college worker in shipping to a full time territory manager in sales and leader in our sales force has given me the opportunity to see a business develop. This growth has stemmed from my desire to make the workplace more efficient and increase the attitude of the business as well as the way we go about selling and delivering the products we offer. Those products ranged from 2.4GhZ wireless tech to realtime video editing. I took part in meetings that were instrumental to the presentation of the company to consumers and allow sales to increase in both vertical and lateral markets through various marketing methods and sales tactics. My goals are to be in a career where my positive attitude can make a difference and be able to use every ounce of my creative thinking to further business. After 6 years of sales, I entered vocational ministry by choice (God's first, then mine). I've been involved in many different aspects including middle and high school, and am currently a children's pastor. My desire is to see young people come to faith, grow in faith, and go in faith to make disciples for God's name to be known and glorified. This involves (but not limited to) team building, strategic planning, volunteer recruitment, weekly teaching/preaching, and counseling. In 2019, I transitioned for a short time as the Director of Sales to oversee custom software development and business development. A driving decision in my vocational transition is for the purpose of co-vocational church planting locally through the Auburn-Opelika Simple Church Network. I love hearing peoples stories and what they are doing to make a difference! In January 2021, I began serving full time in the role as Executive Director of Camp Marannook. Marannook has a strong history in making disciples and reaching both college students and kids. Based on the different soft and hard skillsets that I have developed in business and ministry made this next step a Marannook an obvious choice as we seek to grow Marannook's reach to both college students and kids. We desire to see college students holistically discipled, learning to love God and His Word and how share the gospel both at camp and in the everyday stuff of life. Since 2021 we have grown from 600 campers to 1,200 campers and have seen our summer staff grow with a 75% summer staff retention rate year over year.
