From the wild streets of his youth to the polished studios of today, Chris Taylor’s journey in the film industry has been anything but conventional. It all started with a mini DV camcorder, a group of fearless friends, and an insatiable appetite for capturing the thrill of extreme sports. Those early skate movies ignited a passion for video and film that has only grown stronger over the years.Film school at Cal State Fullerton was a chapter that taught him a lot, but the traditional academic path wasn’t his scene. Instead, he carved his own way, diving headfirst into the world of freelance editing. One of his proudest achievements during this time was creating a skateboard documentary for Breezy Excursion, a project that took two years and premiered at a theater in San Jose. It was a labor of love that solidified his dedication to storytelling.As he continued to navigate the freelance landscape, he honed his skills in editing, directing, and coloring, eventually landing at Farallon Films. Here, he has worn many hats, from executive producing to directing and mastering the art of color grading. Each project is a new adventure, a chance to blend creativity with technical expertise to produce content that resonates.Today, Chris is proud to be part of a team that pushes the boundaries of visual storytelling.
