I originally started working with Publix in St. Augustine and due to an ending lease agreement six months later, I chose to move back to Umatilla. I put in a request for a transfer and for the next two weeks I traveled a total of four hours a day to finish my last two weeks with the Cobblestone Publix. That same month I received an excellent evaluation from Tish Burgess resulting in a raise. See attached. As Assistant Manager Trainee of the Deli at Eustis Village Publix, I took on the responsibilities of an Assistant Manager. I counted inventory and ordered products based on supply and demand charts that were recorded for each day of the week for over a year. I was the lead opener or the lead closer each day, responsible for the productivity of my team during that time. My team and the Assistant Managers team, closing and opening shifts, were successful at completing an 800 piece fried chicken order for a Fire Fighter event in Eustis, FL. All while keeping up with customer orders, phone orders, online orders, shelf stocking, cold pack production, and hot foods productions. On one occasion we had a wedding order misplaced and the lady came in expecting seven platters to be finished and ready to go. No managers were on duty that day so I got with my other full-timer, We made a plan and split the deli in two teams. Team A to work on the platters and Team B to cater to guests and continue with morning production. We finished all platters in the matter of 35 minutes and discounted two of them for the inconvenience. The high stress situation was quickly dissolved. Show less
