Communications Coordinator, Department Communications
Current• Works collaboratively with other team members to research, develop and support tactical communications plans, campaigns, and strategies that deliver focused and measurable results.• Creates, posts, and updates content such as website copy, media items, feature articles, newsletter copy, social media posts, etc., on the City's internal and external platforms.• Contributes creative and innovative ideas to the social media content calendar and actively supports social media operations with content writing and scheduling, and monitoring and responding. • Collaborates with Senior Communications Advisors and other team members to assist with the delivery of project work.• Assists with research, tracking and reporting for projects and communications activities, including gathering social analytics reports and monitoring for improvements or changes.• Assists in coordinating the distribution of news releases.• Researches and stays up-to-date on new trends on social media platforms and in public relations, communications, and public engagement.• Acts as an effective collaborator and team player to support the goals and vision of the Strategic Communications and Initiatives Division. • Participates as required within the Strategic Communications and Initiatives emergency response team.
