Every day is a new challenge or a different obstacle to identify, work at, and ultimately overcome. This came with various job sites across mostly Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties. Helping my dad, brother, and other employees to leave each and every customer problem free is a major accomplishment in my eyes. Not every person or house that was worked on fully appreciated what all went into fixing their problems, but they all received the same result, a house free of animals for the rest of houses lifetime.

Working for the City of Green Bay, WI (Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department) to provide habitat restoration, trail maintenance, community outreach, event planning, training, native plant maintenance, surveying, mapping, administrative work and greenhouse maintenance. Removal and control of invasive species with a variety of methods (burning, hand pulling, cut/treat). Maintaining trails, parks, greenways and other natural areas(garbage pickup, mulching, removing debris off trails). And much more!

A normal day consists of juggling various responsibilities throughout a shift such as learning about and understanding products pertaining to a multitude of floorcoverings (carpet, vinyl, laminate, hardwood, etc.) as well as window treatments (blinds, drapes, shades, curtains, etc.), stocking and maintaining a well-organized department, and overcoming the challenges associated with helping a widespectrum of customers.

Throughout my time at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, I had many opportunities within the classroom, lab room, and in the field to enhance my skills and knowledge within the realm of biology, specifically highlighting ecology and similar disciplines. Some of those include but are not limited to, collecting water samples for testing as well as to look for microorganisms, conducing research on how to manage and remove invasive species such as the common buckthorn and zebra mussels, and observing and recording data in order to determine seed dispersal rates, various dispensing agents, among other data for conclusions and discussions.

First and foremost, my ultimate goal was to teach the game of baseball to as many people (players, coaches, parents, other umpires) as I could. Now within that came major themes that I preached such as good sportsmanship, honesty and integrity, hard work, and most importantly, having fun. I was at the ball diamond simply for the kids and to help share the game of baseball in the right manners with as many people as I could.
