• Handle import customs clearance by preparing customs documentation and ensuring shipments meet all applicable laws to facilitate the allowance of entry and importation of goodsFiling entries and obtaining customs clearances for ocean, rail, truck, and air shipments and arranging trucking and delivery to their destinations for clients• Processing various entry types (Consumption, Quota, ADD/CVD, FTZ & Warehouse Entries).Addressing and responding to CBP and/or other Government Agencies inquiries both prior or post entry of merchandise• Arranging of customs exams to be performed on merchandise• Meeting the needs of demanding clients which includes servicing clients whose imports require extensive knowledge of customs and other government agency requirements.Classifying merchandise using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States and analyzing and assigning the correct tariff codes for various products• Providing advice and guidance concerning US Customs requirements, guidelines and regulations on imported merchandise• Introducing, instructing and filing Import Security Filing/10+2 for importers• Reviewing FDA Unreleased Reports and making sure they are updated and followed up on before due date for the entire department.• Arrange import bookings via standard and expedite air freights, LCL, FCL and courier shipments• Request and provide quotes as needed to the above listed mode of transportation• Generate reports with shipments booked, in transit, delivered; accounting reports with weekly and monthly expenditure
