Broad experience, that includes telecommunications, mining, heavy manufacturing and local government, enables me to bring a comprehensive skill set into the Engineering and Project Mangement fields. Attention to detail and the ability to continually stretch my understanding have allowed me to progress into broader projects and to further develop my understanding of project development and delivery. Throughout my undergraduate study I worked as an Undergraduate Mechanical Engineer at a series of steel production and manufacturing plants. These positions started with minor design and maintenance work supporting engineering teams, and led into Root Cause Analysis, mechanical design of plant, drafting and delivery of fabricated components with internal and external trade personnel.Following completion of the Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) with first class honours, I worked in the position of Graduate Mechanical Engineer at an iron ore mine site. This position reported to the Analysis and Improvement Manager and involved more complex mechanical design works. In addition to analysis and design upgrade works, I carried out reoccurring shutdown maintenance works.Following this I transferred to the position of Reliability Engineer at an iron making plant that included a Blast Furnace, Coke Making, and Power and Services plants. This position involved monitoring and reporting of reliability performance, identification of areas for improvement, maintaining and improvement of plant Asset Management Systems, Root Cause Analysis, mechanical design and control of key shutdown maintenance work.Following this I was in the position of Project Engineer working on a diverse range of capital design and construction projects that included civil, mechanical and electrical projects. This led into the position of Manager Capital Works Delivery which involved managing larger scale projects and the project delivery team.This experience has provided continual development of core competencies, knowledge and skills that include project management, engineering and leadership. This have enabled growth in strong planning, analysis and communication skills which have been supported by a high level of attention to detail. This experience includes project development and delivery with varying risk levels and values ranging from $25k through to $2m.I look forward to opportunities that further improve both my technical and leadership capabilities in engineering and project delivery.
