Soft Health Technologies is the maker of Finess® by Privy®, a disruptive, clinically validated technology for a large consumer health market. I founded the company, raised capital from a wide group of individual and corporate investors, and with a terrific team we launched Finess online and eventually in over 800 Target stores nationwide. I retired from operating responsibilities at Soft Health in March-21.

Glumetrics was a venture-funded startup developing a novel measurement technology for continuous glucose monitoring. Sold to Medtronic in 2014.

Developer of ORA®, a pioneering technology that enables ophthalmologists to achieve never-before-possible outcomes of their refractive cataract surgery procedures. Built this novel ophthalmic technology from one engineer and a concept prototype through initial feasibility trials, significant reengineering, extensive clinical trials, in-house manufacturing process development and production ramp, deployment of first commercial units, and commercial launch strategy and execution. Identified key market and product design opportunities that substantially expanded the utility of the technology and its potential applications. Acquired by Alcon in 2014.

I founded this company based on a novel urology technology and, on only $12 MM of venture capital, took it through a full PMA clinical and regulatory path to FDA approval, initiated European market introduction, and successfully negotiated a $60MM sale, providing a successful exit for the investors and team.
