I'm a paramedic, firefighter, soldier, and educator living in Boise, ID. Prior to living in Idaho, I've worked and volunteered in the Washington DC metropolitan area. I have over 20 years of experience in EMS and the fire service. Specialties: My specialties and experiences on top of EMS and structural fire suppression include Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting (ARFF), hazardous materials mitigation at the Technician level, front and backcountry Search & Rescue (SAR) and technical rope rescue, backcountry EMS, and wildland firefighting via engine and helitack modules.I currently work as a wilderness medicine instructor with National Outdoor Leadership School. My past experiences in education include teaching EMT, EMT-Advanced/Intermediate, and Paramedic courses and topics, hazardous materials topics, and varying wildland and structural firefighting topics. I am currently an E-4/Specialist and 68W/Combat Medic Specialist with the 2-116th Combined Arms Battalion of the Idaho Army National Guard.
