Serve as Technical Project Lead for critical DR projects and exercises. Assess vulnerability and exposure to IT risks, review controls in place to mitigate/resolve risks. Apply industry best practices and standards to perform annual DR GAP analysis / IT Risk Assessment on Business Impact Analysis (BIA). Write / review technical specifications for contracts.Conduct all levels of exercises for Disaster Recovery / Business Resilience. Implement exercise program based on Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP). Conduct training as necessary for recovery teams and recovery coordinators.Assist in day-to-day operation of Change Management and Problem Management. Review and process requests for change. Conduct root cause analysis and resolution.Research industry trends, best practices, regulatory requirements affecting business continuity and disaster recovery. Provide advice and consultation to management and staff on matters involving DR. Be a subject-matter expert (SME) on projects to provide expertise and guidance on DR architecture, implementation, and process. Represent DR at meeting with Agency stakeholders, partners, and vendors.

As the Senior Disaster Recovery Coordinator I am lead coordinator of the following responsibilities: DR Planning; coordinating and executing tests of DR Systems and Infrastructure during exercises; creating, maintaining, and ensuring annual certification of the DR Plan; providing assistance in establishing and maintaining DR contracts and leases; assisting in the creation, implementation, and execution of processes and procedures for DR Services; and facilitating DR education and awareness.

As a member of the Disaster Recovery Team is responsible for DR Planning, coordinating and executing testing of DR systems & infrastructure during Business Resumption Center (BRC) Exercises and all other exercises and DR systems tests; creating, maintaining and ensuring annual certification of the DR Plan; facilitating DR Education and Awareness; and establishing, maintaining and providing vendor management for DR Contracts and Leases.The Disaster Recovery Team acts as coordination and oversight for the DR infrastructure solutions needed to support the Organizations Critical Functions as determined in the Business Impact Analysis. As such the team works closely with the Information Technology support teams to establish, test, and maintain viable DR infrastructure solutions by coordinating and prioritizing DR architecture changes, managing vendor contracts, and facilitating exercises and testing. The team is responsible for ongoing research and awareness of current industry standards in order to continually provide options for the most successful solutions to our growing infrastructure and the needs of Organization.
