I have been self-employed since 2002 as a Realtor/Broker. I have a range of experience in the public sector and private sector and have spent most of my professional life working as a manager or in sales or both. I currently own and operate Boardman Realty, a small client-centered real estate company. My company is more like a corner bakery than a big box store. As a writer and residential real estate subject matter expert I have written hundreds of articles for Inman News for real estate professionals and thousands of articles on real estate blogs and websites for consumers.My background also includes working as a business analyst and a project manager working in software development. I appreciate a good database or spreadsheet and know my way around WordPress, and created my first website in 1996.My clients, friends, and previous employers describe me as energetic, creative, and a quick learner. My background is eclectic to say the least as I have many interests. I would describe myself as an outside-the-box thinker with a sense of humor and it is that sense of humor that makes all things possible most days. As a real estate agent, I have worked with hundreds of buyers and sellers and most of the time it doesn't seem like work. I write a blog and a weekly column for Inman News about real estate or real estate-related topics. After many years of taking pictures of my real estate listings and pictures for my websites, I got pretty good at it. I do some commercial photography for hire and I sell fine arts and landscape photography. My public speaking experience includes some national real estate conferences, including the National Association of Realtors annual conference, Inman Connect conferences on the East and West Coasts, and our local Minnesota bloggers conference, MinneBar and the Unsummit.
