I graduated from the University of Kansas School of Engineering in May of 2022 with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Through my Civil Engineering curriculum, I confirmed my interest in the construction industry through many construction engineering classes and working under my construction management professor, Dr. Brian Lines. I also gained experience in a construction management role as an intern superintendent during the summer of 2021. Through this internship and with a family comprised of construction workers, I realized how invaluable the experience of working in the field is when it comes to construction management. Therefore, I am currently in the Mid-America Carpenters apprentice training program and am actively working as a concrete carpenter. Each day I learn more about the construction process and better understand the workings of a job site regarding material, workforce, and scheduling.
