I was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana by my two parents, Sarah and JJ Boston, each of who run their own businesses and have since I was very young. From the time I was in 8th grade up until the fall of my senior year, I worked as utility manager, dishwasher, and prep cook in the high-intensity commercial kitchen environment. I learned many hard lessons through tireless workweeks such as workplace efficiency, interpersonal skills, intense work ethic, and many more to count. However the greatest lesson I learned from those difficult times in the kitchen was the value of what I was doing for my family and the progression and success of the business. It is what truly got me interested in pursuing a degree and career in finance. I feel a great sense of connection to my past experiences and how they have shaped me to become the person I am today. I am currently a rising senior at the Kelley School of Business and will be interning with Calamos Investments this summer.
