Led the development of several advanced electromagnetic and nuclear based technologies for the Oil & Gas industry including compact particle accelerators (X-ray sources); high-temperature power electronics; nuclear density borehole logging tools; a novel geophysical imaging probe based on cosmic-rays; advanced magnetic resonance systems and microwave sensors. • Designed and validated a robust, accurate microwave resonant sensor for high value applications such as water volume fraction monitoring and custody transfer metering.• Developed a unique ultra-compact, high-temperature X-ray generator concept driven by a novel distributed power source architecture. Secured funding across internal business segments, established key collaborations and led team in laboratory demonstration.• Designed, built and field-tested a fully engineered sonde for bulk-density measurements using natural cosmic-rays for O&G and mining applications.• Initiated and led several sponsored research collaborations between SLB and Harvard and MIT academic groups in the areas of photonics, nuclear particle transport, nuclear detector development and advanced power electronics.

Research staff at the MIT /Bates electron accelerator facility within the Laboratory of Nuclear Science (LNS). I've conducted fundamental nuclear physics research and participated in a number of large scale scientific collaborations (30-40 people) such as the OOPS and BLAST projects.• Lead efforts related to detector fabrication, read-out electronics, data acquisition systems, experiment design and data analysis..• Responsible for day to day system operation, maintenance, trouble-shooting, and interfacing with technician crews. Coordinated the work of up to 14 graduate students.
