The MECD Institute (Materials and Equipment for Sustainable Construction), which is supported by the Tremplin Carnot system, is made up of four Industrial Technical Centres, four university research laboratories and the CTI Network, which are leaders in sustainable construction and housing.In line with its epigraph "better building for better living", the aim of the MECD Institute is to enable the building actors to develop a multi-material technological offer capable of making buildings and civil engineering structures in a suitable position to address the energy, environmental and societal challenges facing them. This at all the scales: building, neighbourhood and city.In order to do this, the MECD Institute develops an R & D offering focused on the major challenges of the sector: innovative materials with low environmental footprint, recycling and reuse, constructive solutions based on a mix of materials, modularity of the habitat.

L’Institut MECD (Matériaux et Équipements pour la Construction Durable), qui bénéficie du soutien du dispositif Tremplin Carnot, est composé de quatre Centres Techniques Industriels, de quatre laboratoires universitaires de recherche et du Réseau CTI, qui sont des référents en matière de construction et d’habitat durables.
