Hello,My name is Tyler Brown. I graduated from Emmanuel College in 2015 with a bachelors degree in biology with a concentration in health sciences. I am studied in this field because I want to go to optometry school to become an optometrist. I was previously a research intern at Boston Children's Hospital in the ophthalmology department researching visual evoked potential (VEP), electrical potentials generated from brief alternating visual stimuli. This technique can be used to measure visual acuity, as well as assess the integrity of the visual pathway from the optic nerve to the brain.I am certified for CPR, AED, First-Aid, and MAP. I also have a background of working with individuals with developmental disabilities, and taking care of them.Currently, I am working as an Ocular Disease Evaluator II Lead monitoring and measuring retinal disease progression to further the conservation, improvement, and restoration of human eyesight.
