Tommy Burns is a Licensed Security Consultant, practicing in Forensic Security Consulting and Expert Witness. He also consults on Law Enforcement issues. Mr. Burns also recently served as the Privacy Officer at the Southern Nevada Counter Terrorism Center, as a consultant-contractor from Readiness Resource Group. He also previously served as a dual-property Security Director at Harrah's Las Vegas and The Flamingo Hotel & Casino, leaving in 2008. Burns entered the gaming industry as a Security Director with Station Casinos’ Fiesta Henderson property in 2002 and later Green Valley Ranch Resort, after spending more than 25 years in law enforcement with the Henderson Police Department in Nevada. He retired in 1999 after serving as Police Chief for five years. Burns became licensed as a security consultant and private investigator with the Nevada Private Investigator’s Licensing Board in 2000 and has also attained the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certificate from ASIS International in October 2004. He holds a bachelors degree in criminal justice from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Master’s Degree in Organizational and Business Security Management from Webster University.
