I offer one on one art instruction. I guide students from where they are to where they want to go in developing their creative voice. I have created individual units focused on fundamental painting and drawing techniques, color theory, 2D design and composition. I have also guided students in methods on how to infuse their emotion into their visual artwork. I can be found on lessons.com for this service.

I work as part of a scene-painting team creating theatre backdrops as designed by the art director and instructed by the Paint Charge. We have created drops for theatre and ballet companies in Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Salisbury and more. Some of the shows I have worked on include: Snow White, Nutcracker, Alice in Wonderland and Giselle.

Juried Gallery Member into the Artist Collective at Delurk. Responsibilities include creating original artwork on the regular to show, participation on the Exhibition Committee, sale and promotion of members artwork plus guest artists and the general operation of the Gallery.

I offer custom signs and lettering to businesses and other commercial outlets. Signs created include banners, site, magnetic, temporary, door lettering, etc.Focus is placed on hand crafted, craftsman design products.

I offered Alcohol Ink workshops for groups looking for a unique and fun night out. I also sold prints and original works thru an etsy site and participated in local craft and art fairs. *** Covid brought this endeavor to a stop and permanently closed the doors of my public studio space. ***

Studios@625 was an artist co-op with working studios that were open to the public. That made us a unique destination and studio experience.Here, I installed and/or curated window displays and installations, taught classes, hosted activities for entertainment, organized events using artwork as an advocate for social justice. I made a point to invite fun every first Friday as a participating studio artist at the monthly Gallery Hop.

I subbed for absent teachers for grades K-7. I covered for academic teachers and specials. Specials were art, music and dance.

SignChic was a sole-proprietorship that I created in 2001 and sold to return to school.Job duties required: personal business marketing, product sales, graphic design, minor construction, and networking. I performed all duties associated with the general running of a small business. Design responsibilities ranged from vinyl graphics, car lettering, logo creation, brochures, business cards and much more. The company objective was to offer customers a way to brand themselves to the public. I worked primarily with small businesses and helped them implement their image across many forms of marketing. I was successful at creating a niche' market for myself by selling my products wholesale to other sign or print shops.I sub-contracted out installation and labor projects as work load demanded. It was always a great joy to take out the trash, scrape sticky stuff off vehicles and to say "Boo-Yah!" when a job was completed.

I managed the production of the shop to ensure that deadlines were met, quality was maintained and customers were pleased with final products. I also handled in-side sales and purchasing. I was responsible for training staff and "putting out fires" that would otherwise inhibit our ability to proceed with planned production.

I worked in multiple facets of this company. I started in the pre-press department, ad design and film development. I earned a position among the writers and filled in as a temporary editor for one of their small weekly publications, The Yadkin Enterprise
