• Responsible for planning and executing all events of ABCK • Promote a positive image of ABCK within the members and the business community• Suggest sponsorship packages and implement in conjunction with the Operations Manager• Create and maintain an action plan/event checklist for the general monthly meetings and the special events to include:o Venue recommendations in conjunction with the Executive Directoro Budget o announcements/flyers in conjunction with Operations Managero a sponsorship solicitation document in conjunction with the Operations Managero menu and all other detailso confirmation that the hotel has all government approvals for entertainment in place at least one month before the event. o Guest list• Be present at the venue for the events in advance to check the set-up and insure that all information to venue that was communicated has been executed• Order any thank you gifts/letters/plaques for speakers• Prepare an agenda for the Chair to thank the appropriate people on the night of the event• Create and maintain a recap for each event with the general information about the event, guarantee number, actual number of guests, a sample of the announcement/flyer. A hard and soft copy of the documents should be maintained. • Insure that all guests receive an electronic feedback survey and that the feedback received and communicated to all the attendees after each event day• Maintain a good working relationship with the event planners at the various venues • Working in conjunction with the Executive Director create sponsorship packages and solicit sponsorship where required• Research market to identify event opportunities, unique venues, event companies for special events décor, entertainment, etc. that will generate interest• In conjunction with the Executive Director, prepare press releases, social media postings and newsletters that will promote ABCK.
