Over 9 years at Cobalt / ADP / CDK we grew from $72M to nearly $1/2B annual revenue. A great team all around and a great experience building a substantial business.

Accepted the invitation to move to Seattle and take responsibility for the entire product development org for US / India

Acquired by Cobalt. Was asked to take responsibility for the paid search development team in CA in addition to OnStation’s email marketing solution.

OnStation is an email marketing company for automotive dealerships. We send the right message / incentive to vehicle owners at the right time to cause and measure repeat and referral business. I was responsible for the development and operations, and for product management for the last 6 months prior to acquisition by Cobalt.

I was fortunate enough to be employee #5 and wore a lot of hats, designing chips, writing simulators, tech docs, etc. I worked on R&D of network processors, neural networks, and database acceleration. Aptos was started by a founder of Cypress and was sold to ISSI.

Automated business processes for the sales and marketing group to track orders and changes, manage quotes and distribution bill backs, etc. I saved Cypress hundreds of thousands of dollars in untracked spot pricing authorizations that we being used outside the intended purpose. Built an imaging system for all orders that used real time messaging to add notes and allow people to collaborate, look up any historical image from optical disk, etc. I built a network of 70 Sun machines, educated marketing & customer support, administered the network, etc.

I put myself though college working at this company. I was one of a core team of developers at this startup automating automotive parts catalogs for dealerships. I was responsible for all the image management of the system and developed image recognition software that ran across the network to crunch data on several machines in a Novell cluster to locate text features as hot spots on images.
