To me, it's all problem-solving, really - whether it be machines or processes that aren't working or aren't efficient, a design project that must combine aesthetic preference with practical necessity, or making sure the left hand is communicating with the right, it's all the same to an instinctive fixer. If someone asked me what I do best, I'd immediately say, "I fix things."
