“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.”-John Quincy Adams---After finishing my PhD in Electrical Engineering in the field of Telecommunications (doctoral thesis topic: MIMO Wireless Communication Systems), I sensed that my carrier path should not be one of a scientist. However, I did enjoy working in a scientific environment, but in a more technical role. Joining Cosylab, and later Paul Scherrer Institute, as a Control System Engineer, has given me such option. Allowing users to perform cutting-edge science, leading to breakthrough advances in a modern world has given my work a great purpose.Not long after, I realized that I can put my technical and personal skills to good use also in a more management- or leadership-oriented role. Luckily, I was given the opportunity to prove myself as a group leader, section deputy head, as well as a project manager, leading complex control system projects (as part of building a new particle accelerator). This has brought new challenges, new experiences and it has enabled me to grow further. Growth, learning and improvement are precisely what I strive for every day. I aspire to constantly improve as a leader, as a project manager, as an expert and as a colleague. My mission is to achieve a common success through nurturing a relationship-based, stimulatory and rewarding work environment that enables others to grow as well.
