Responsible for supporting Era Living communities dining services teams in the delivery of food services operations and managing day-to-day operations of assigned home community dining services team.• Manage day-to-day operations of home community dining services team and support dining services operations for all Era Living communities, as required:• Support dining services in all communities: orient, train, and provide intermittent backup support to Dining Services Directors and/or coverage during absences including vacation/sick/vacant positions• create staff schedules; ensure adequate staffing levels are in place for all shifts• ensure quality of service for all meal services and special events• responsible for all special functions/events assist other departments with planning including budget management for scheduling staff and set-up and take-down for events• Responsible for evaluating and formulating solutions to resident/guest/employee complaints and concerns • Supervise all aspects of dining room operations; Ensure the highest quality of service is provided to residents/guests at each meal/event• Manage dining services department budget including: labor hours and OT, dining services purchases: small wares, office supplies, and uniforms• Collaborate with Director of Culinary and Dining Operations to create dining services program policies, procedures, and service standards for all communities.

University House Wallingford

Responsible for all aspects of daily operations of the Dining Room to ensure the highest quality of service to residents and their guests. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. • Hire, train and manage employees who believe in the Organization’s mission and values.• Responsible for all special functions, insuring adequate staffing and setup, being well executed and guests highly satisfied.• Responsible for evaluating and formulating solutions to residents’ complaints and concerns in a timely manner. • Serve as a role model for employees, promoting and exhibiting the values of the Organization.• Behave in a consistent and fair manner. Oversees dining room operations when supervisor is not present and providing excellent customer service to all community members. Ensure all courses are delivered in a timely manner and cleaning duties are thoroughly done to state expectations.• Member of Customer Service Team for Era Living. (May 2008-present)• Helped developed a successful to go service window.• Conducted interviews for new food service employees.• Maintain work and cleaning schedules for dining room servers.• Knowledge of verbal coaching and write ups and prepared with documentation.• Responsible for biweekly and daily menu printouts to be sent out to community members.• Hosted, served, and set up catering events such as Art Galas, birthday parties, memorials, and educational classes.• Involved with special events outside of community such as wine pouring for new upcoming retirement communities.• Member of the University House Safety Committee since 2010.• Cross-trained as a receptionist from June 2005 - 2010: includes skills such as typing, filing, proper phone etiquette, and responding to emergency calls.• Set up electronic equipment for events such as microphones, projectors, screens and laptops.• trained on all three shifts available to receptionists. (Morning, swing, and graveyard.)• Helped a new community by covering graveyard shifts at front desk.• Word processing work and filing for the University house library collection.
