I oversee the entire operation of the company. I work with all departments, including sales, administration, manufacturing, and distribution. The company specializes in precision electroplating of copper, nickel, silver, and tin. The company’s products are used in a wide range of products, like telecommunications, electronics, automobiles, medical equipment, aerospace parts, and semiconductors.

I am a non-salaried pastor here. I provide pastoral care to the young adults ministry. I also give input to the mission efforts globally. Additionally, I preach regularly. Lastly, I work with the whole team to plan and execute major events at church.

Rev. Dr. Tony Chuang (莊智超) is a church pastor, conference speaker, adjunct lecturer, and business director.He completed a BSc in Computer Science from Ontario Tech University, after which he worked as a computer programmer in the Toronto area. After answering a call to ministry, he quit his job to be further equipped in Chicago, USA. He earned a MDiv from Moody Theological Seminary and a PhD from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. While in the U.S., he served as the Pastor of Outreach and Evangelism at Hope Community Bible Church, where he was eventually ordained as Reverend in 2020.Since 2013, he has traveled extensively to speak at several conferences and churches each year. Together with his wife (Dr. Esther Shin Chuang), they have ministered in multiple countries across four continents, training local leaders and reaching non-Christians. Since 2022, he also serves as the hub leader of mission partners in a few countries under AsiaCMS.In academia, he supervises doctoral students, teaches courses, or lectures in special seminars at several Asian seminaries, including Malaysia Baptist Theological Seminary, Anglican Training Institute, and Bible College of Malaysia. His research interests include evangelism, homiletics, and folk religion among the global Han Chinese. He has contributed chapters in a few edited books, one article in an academic journal, and one upcoming book on Folk Religion and the Gospel with Langham Publishing.Apart from the church, itinerant, and academic ministry, he works as the managing director of Hightec Plating, an electroplating business in Penang. He is able to hone his leadership skills as well as follow the Apostle Paul’s example of being a “tentmaker.”He is passionate about (re)igniting evangelism and worship in all nations. He has two adorable children who make life unpredictably interesting. His favorite food is salmon sashimi.

I serve as the Regional Hub Leader of Nusantara for AsiaCMS, a mission organization based in Asia and laboring for Asia. Nusantara encompasses 5 countries: Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, and Philippines. This just means that I am a support staff for the amazing men and women in these countries who are bringing the holistic gospel among the marginalized and least reached.

I oversee the outreach efforts of the church. This includes strategizing, planning, and executing outreach programs. This also means equipping, encouraging, and mobilizing church members for various forms of evangelism. I also establish strategic partnerships with local organizations for the purpose of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.www.hopecommunitybible.church

I do miscellaneous work for Dr. Sajan Mathews (Professor of Theology), helping out with the seminary classes that he teaches. Throughout the two years, I've worked on various projects here and there, with a big chunk on the Faith, Work, and Economics Initiative.Note: I was consistently there during one semester only. The rest of the time I was on-call for special projects.

I learned a lot about how church planting worked. I wish I could say that I contributed a lot but the truth is I didn't. I did lead a small group and helped out at church events but that was it.

I preached a few sermons at the main worship service, led small group, helped a marriage fellowship, discipled key leaders, taught a worship seminar, and led worship with Esther. I was mainly learning as an intern.

I mash the keyboard and often the program magically works. Other times I just go into a primal rage as runtime errors overflow my self-control stack. In other words, I'm a solid, creative programmer with a sense of humor.I did iterative testing and team programming using VB.NET and Team Foundation Server. Mobile/Web development with C#, Java, HTML5/JavaScript, and SQL using MVVM structure. I helped develop anything from tax softwares to webapps to online stores.Note: My tenure started in 2010 and ended in 2013. But there were breaks. From 2010 September to 2011 May, I was in school and did minimal part-time work here. From 2011 Aug 13 to 2012 May 13, I was not working here at all.

I helped with a school-wide system migration in which we were finally moving away from Novell to a more modern system. I did some work with databases and with backups.

I do everything my boss (師傅) tells me to do. I cut, I grill, I fry, I cook, I wash dishes. Basically I do anything that needs doing in the kitchen.

I was revamping the way the system works here. A lot of the data structure needed to be centralized, streamlined, and eventually become fully automatic (reducing workload in the sales department). Eventually I created a database for the storage department too along with many other departments in order to connect the various information between the departments in the company. My main work was the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program backend that I created from scratch using mainly VBA.But because of my knowledge of computers they put me as the IT guy too.
