As an educator, I foster politically-conscious leaders through rigorous academic instruction at the secondary and post-secondary levels. I utilize active-learning and leader-learning activities in order to develop student mastery of academic concepts and practical skills. I work every day to support my students in their pursuit of being their best selves personally, socially, and academically. As a leader, I have managed large teams in order to drive results within and outside of the education world. I have written, revised, and led others to implement systems that support new teachers during Teach for America Summer Institute as the Operations Director of Communications and Events at the TFA Tulsa Institute. I have advocated for my students as a Teacher Ambassador for TFA St. Louis. I am a fellow with the TFA St. Louis Aspiring School Leader Fellowship and TFA's Rural School Leadership Academy. As a political scientist, I conduct research on the intersection of race, religion, and politics in American life. I designed and led teams to conduct exit polls within Ferguson, Missouri in 2014 and 2016. I have also performed qualitative interview-based research projects. I am proficient in using Stata to help understand data and familiar with using Arc-GIS to map findings.
