Charged with coordinating the mergers processes of 4 organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber region° Supporting Legal and Financial leads with consolidation of 4 region-wide charities from inception to the final merge° Responsible for establishing and formalising communication links with regional merging partners ° Processing due diligence including risk assessments of target organisations' current management and operational structures° Managing of all existing contracts and centralising them within the merged structure° Processing and managing all IT and telephony related aspects of merged organisations across Yorkshire and Humber° Keeping pace with employment relations issues for efficacious handling and tracking of the TUPE process° Ensuring effective and up to date communication between the Management boards of all merging partners

The Regional Women’s Development Officer role had an overarching objective of empowering and encouraging service delivery and policies that are sensitive to the needs of refugee and asylum seeking women. ° Facilitation for asylum seeking and refugee women to develop sustainable and representative groups and autonomous women-led refugee community organisations.° Coordinating and supporting refugee and asylum seeking women and their community groups and assisting to identify, prioritise and articulate the key issues that affect their lives in Yorkshire and Humber° Management and compliance of grants° Coordinating and writing reports for funding bodies° Ensuring that Refugee women’s community groups are enabled to influence and work collaboratively with the Home Office, other statutory and local government agencies in policy influencing and enabling refugee women’s voices to be heard.° Providing support through a mutually developed and agreed to programme of mentoring and capacity building guidance° Provision of appropriate signposting to other services as required.° Co-developed, monitored and administered implementation of the Why Refugee Women Charter for Yorkshire and Humber which attained signatory commitment from over 200 organisations and individuals° Awareness raising and knowledge sharing about the issues affecting asylum seeking and refugee women in the United Kingdom through conducting school and university talks ° Developed and rolled out regional refugee focused CEDAW training packages for organisations directly engaged with refugee and asylum seeking women. The training articulated the CEDAW Committee recommendations that States parties to CEDAW should “institute gender-sensitive procedural safeguards in asylum procedures to ensure that women asylum seekers are able to present their cases on the basis of equality and non-discrimination”
