As the Director of Equity + Economic Impact (DEEI), my responsibilities are promoting economic development and growth adjacent to greenways in a manner that supports equity and actively guards against displacement and gentrification within communities where greenways are planned, built and maintained. This includes implementing strategies and actions for growth that will address the communities in a holistic manner and include the key elements of people, power, place and systems.As DEEI I incorporate plans and steps that were identified during the initial framework planning phases for the Brickline Greenway as well as incorporating best practices through collaboration with staff and a number of regional partners and organizations including but not limited to: St. Louis Development Corporation, St. Louis Economic Development Partnership, Greater St. Louis Inc., Invest STL, St. Louis Urban Design Agency, Forward Through Ferguson, Urban League of St. Louis and others. In addition, I collaborate with the City of St. Louis and other partners to develop and coordinate recommendations and policies as well as identify funding tools, all while ensuring community participation and empowerment throughout the entire process.

Some of the services include: Owners’ Representation, Project Management, Feasibility/Due-Diligence Studies, Municipal Approvals & Permitting, Project Budgeting, Value Engineering and Construction Supervision & Contracting.

Transitional leader with experience in the civil engineering and land surveying fields. Responsibilities were to coordination the transition of ownership and the merger of Pitzman’s Co. under the Frontenac Engineering Group corporate umbrella. This included creating new policies and procedures for proposals/contracting, recordkeeping, safety protocols, quality control and quality assurance. This role transitioned into a more direct Business Development. Assisting the Marketing Director and support staff to maintain existing business relationships through client outreach and engagement, identifying new potential clients by utilizing existing industry relationship and building a strategic plan to expand the company’s industry footprint and services offered to both new and existing clients.

Successful design consultant that served as the majority and managing owner, utilizing over 20 years of experience in Land Development Services. Field and office experience includes both rural and urban areas and included overseeing over two thousand (2,000) projects ranging in scope from initial feasibility studies to brownfield redevelopments to new developments. With project complexities ranging from minor residential additions to multimillion-dollar commercial projects for a range of clients including private developers, municipalities, state agencies, hospitals, and schools. Responsibilities were managing daily operations, oversight of marketing, human resource and financial functions. Through strategic leadership, fiscal budget planning and a successful transition to a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) revenue increased 10-15% annually.
