About Tom D.

I am an ACA qualified CFO with over a decade of experience developing and leading high-performing finance teams across a range of private and listed Private Equity and Venture Capital businesses. I am comfortable balancing demanding risk management requirements with the need to achieve ambitious growth plans, and able to deliver complex transactions within tight timeframes. This includes, most recently, the £200m+ share-for-share / share-for-asset restructure of a listed venture capital group and its subsequent integration to a new listed group.My current role as a Financial Consultant is focussed on supporting the continued integration of the Arix Bioscience business into the RTW Biotech Opportunities group. This follows my role as CFO and COO at Arix Bioscience Plc, where we achieved the successful delivery of a scheme of reconstruction and the transfer of the group’s cash and investments to RTW Biotech Opportunities Ltd. This transaction unlocked significant value for Shareholders, providing them with the continued opportunity to benefit from portfolio realisations and further investments under the management of RTW Investments, LP, a best-in-class life sciences investment manager.Prior to Arix, I was Finance Director at Oakley Capital Limited, a pan-European PE and Venture Capital group. In this role, I had responsibility for delivering the full scope of finance, tax and regulatory reporting across all of the group's internal management and advisor entities, alongside delivering a significant number of additional strategic and operational projects.
