I am currently a Modal/Structural Design Engineer with Chromalloy in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. I earned a MS in May 2022 from the University of Florida in Mechanical Engineering, concentrated in Solid Mechanics, Design and Manufacturing. I received my BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida in May of 2020. I became interested in pursuing an MS after talking with a peer about powder bed fusion and the emergence of 3D printing. When I graduated, the lack of job prospects due to COVID led me to apply for graduate school.During my undergraduate years, I was a part of the Human Powered Vehicle Team at the University of Florida. Every year, we designed and built a recumbent trike and competed at ASME EFest against teams from all over the nation. For the last two years of my undergrad, I held the position of Manufacturing Lead, meaning that I was in charge of the manufacturing aspect of the team. During the design phase, I trained new members to design for manufacturability based on the capabilities of our equipment (which included a mill, lathe, band saw, and drill press). Once the design was completed, I assigned the fabrication tasks based on the time necessary and the complexity of the parts to ensure that the final product would be successful.
