Providing the indisputably best possible hotel stay in the OKC area and maintaining positive team morale at all times

My tasks and responsibilities with this job vary. Anything from tracking inventory to placing orders and sometimes even just stocking shelves. This has been the most laid back and least demanding of any job I've had. Being employed with such great people and working directly under the owner of the store has taught me things that I feel like I just wouldn't have picked up anywhere else, and I'm extremely grateful for that. There are a total of 6 employees on the payroll and that's even counting the owner's 2 siblings! I get a fair load of responsibility, which is always appreciated, and 7 paid days off a year isn't too bad.However I'm starting to get the restless feeling in my gut again and this time I want to make the right move. I want to set real goals for myself and maybe even start throwing a little bit of income towards a retirement, and I can't really do that if I spend all of my time breaking my back to help another's dreams come true. So, I feel like it's time to dust off my resume and see what further opportunities await. I have a wide variety of skills that I've learned from the extremely wide variety of jobs I've taken on and I'm ready to see what I can do in the big boy world!

I'd generally start my day by showing up to the store an hour early to make sure all drawers and sales reports were balanced. After that it was just basic store opening duties. Verifying that all closing duties were done properly the night prior, and making the store's deposit to the bank, all before opening hours. Once the store was open my job was to make sure that, first and foremost, all customers were properly greeted and helped accordingly. My second responsibility was to ensure that all employees were staying busy and helping each other keep the store clean, bathrooms and outside area included. My third responsibility was to keep track of items received and maintain a decent level of communication with our corporate office as far as items were concerned.I had a great time working for this company and made plenty of good friends along the way. However, there comes a time when a person knows that he will no longer be moving up and at the age I was, that was unacceptable for me personally. I eventually made a clean break with the company and to this day still keep in touch with some of my former employees.

Where do I begin? This was one of the most physically and mentally demanding jobs I've ever had the opportunity to bestow upon myself. When I started I truly was in way over my head. That being said, I'm more than proud to say, especially on a route that covers almost 25 square miles, that I overcome almost every challenge that I was presented with on a daily basis. Whether it be some abstract address that I had never heard of, making sure I was driving safely yet efficiently, and most difficult of all, was working in the elements every single day. That was by far the best shape I had ever been in and I made decent money!Unfortunately the never ending barrage of packages and constant feeling of stress and anxiety took it's toll and I found myself seeking employment where I could stay in one place and just enjoy some air conditioning. It was extremely difficult to walk away from the life of weekly paychecks and monthly bonuses, but I feel like at the end of the day, I made the right choice.
