I have two complementary areas of experience, Process Development Engineering and Database Application Design. In these areas, I have managed and completed many projects. Whereever I am, I am an enthusiastic contributor to the success of the team. Listening to team members and communicating to the team is second nature, as i really enjoy working with other creative people. By analyzing processes, both technical and business, i look for and often find ways to improve them. Years of lab tinkering and Solidworks design allow me to create prototypes and fixtures quickly. Likewise, creating quick database prototypes supports early team review.Engineering:I have been a process development engineer for many years. This has often included product design work. I have been in the medical device field, with recent work with bio-processing equipment.I have refined the following skills: A trained and intuitive understanding of the physical disciplines of engineering. A creative and practical design sense. Design of tests and experiments that are useful, efficient, and fair. Use of SolidWorks for design and drafting. Use of DOE technology, or simple, iterative tests based on an understanding of customer use. Collection of data efficiently and accurately, using automated data collection, data sheets and lab books. (Labview ) Conducting Failure Analyses, using design review and historical data (if available). Writing of procedures, protocols and reports in the FDA regulatory environment, using graphical techniques and statistical analyses. Database design to support testing. Important data is safely stored and easily retrieved.Database Applications:I have built many databases both in an FDA regulated environment and in other industries. I have worked in SQL server and Microsoft Access. I have done much data conversion and built tools to support various business processes. My applications use sophisticated SQL or VBA procedures.Specialties: Medical Device and Bio-processing products - Process & Product Development. Data acquisition using Labview, Design using Solidworks, Database Application Designer SQL Server 2005, MS Access 2007, ASP.net
