I have written for dozens of papers and magazines over the years as well as creating and self-filming television news reports. Beside national newspapers, I was a retained stringer for People Weekly (US), Scotland correspondent for the New Statesman, have written extensively for Prospect (journal of the Royal Incorporation of Architects Scotland). More recently I have also written for Cycling Plus, Cycling Mobility and Ride.

My Digital Skills Workshops (on behalf of the NUJ) attracted nearly 200 participants, 96% of whom rated the events ‘excellent’ or ‘very good’. An Evening With Harold Evans and An Evening With Gary Younge both sold our and were acclaimed by their audiences. More recent courses have covered podcasting, social media metrics, media law, and copywriting.

Cycling-books.com contains hundreds of reviews of books about all aspects of cycling. On this site is also much of what I have written about cycling in other publications.
